My Daily Happy Routine

My goal everyday is to try and be happy, I’m sure it’s yours too. So I’ve been trying out a new routine and  leaping out of my ‘cooking comfort zone’ and sharing what I do every morning to help me get on my happy way... 

Steps for a happy routine:

  1. Before I get out of bed I do a 10 minute meditation. I use the Calm app, there’s a daily 10 minute meditation that changes everyday on the home page. The breathing really helps my energy levels, and clarity of mind.   It’s made a real difference.

  2. Then I pull myself out of bed (blocking the voices that are telling me the bed is too cozy to leave) and I do a 30 min cardio - spin, fast walk or aerobics (Jane Fonda style!)

  3. Cold Shower - yes this is new to my routine. I’m up to 2 mins now , I started at 1 min. It’s AMAZING for you - reduces stress, anxiety and helps build your immune system.  This is my biggest new discovery.  Honestly a game changer.

  5. Lastly I take a bunch of supplements - more on that another time!

Every morning I’ve started asking myself do I want to be happy today? Hell yeah! Then I do my routine.  It’s certainly working for me.
