Why Clear Up Fallen Leaves?

With all the wind and rain at this time of year.  It’s time to collect up all the leaves from your lawns, ponds and beds.

Fallen leaves make the most incredible compost. Decaying leaves make what is called “humus’ - It's PH level is almost neutral ranging from 6.9 – 7 .2, which is perfect for most plants.

So clear all your leaves, make a space to put them in.  I have used old pallets and then watch your leaves turn into magic free compost for your garden.  I find it hard work, but really rewarding.
