Clodagh’s Chic Cheltenham Style

[some items were borrowed/gifted]

The Cheltenham Races kicked off yesterday, and I was lucky enough to be there. It feels like being at home as there are so many great Irish horses, trainers, owners and racegoers there. And of course the iconic Guinness tent, where you must get a pint and soak up all the atmosphere!

THE SUIT

I wore a beautifully tailored suit by The Deck. The Deck is founded and owned by the only female tailor on Saville Row (London), Daisy Knatchbull. It is a Linen Brown and White Dogtooth double-breasted Donegal Tweed two-piece suit . The tailoring is so brilliantly cut for a woman’s body, giving you a lovely waist, structured shoulders and long length on the trousers to lengthen the body. Find out more and shop here

THE HAT

I got my hat from Milliner Jess Collett who has a wonderful studio in Notting Hill, London. I visited the studio with my suit and coat to match up the hat. Then I picked out feathers which where tapered on to the hat. Everything is made by hand and they will also do custom hats for special occasions. Find out more and shop here

THE SWEATER

Underneath my suit I wore a soft cashmere off white sweater from the new spring collection at Bamford. I wanted something fresh and soft in texture against the tweed. Find out more and shop here

THE CAPE

The stunning cape scarf is from James Purdey and Sons. I know I will wear this time and time again. The Glen check exterior is complemented with a contrasting Shepherd check interior. It's made from a wool cashmere blend and is finished at the hem with a leather binding. Find out more and shop here

THE BOOTS

The boots are from the new Cheltenham collection by Penelope Chivers, again another staple that I wear with jeans, skirts and so on. The long shaft silhouette and an elegant block heel, made from oiled suede. Made in Spain by their equestrian boot makers, they feature a buckled harness giving chic equestrian styling! THE BAG

You will have seen me with Lalage Beaumont bags quite a bit, as they are one of my favourites! This bag is called the Odette, one of their classic handbags with super-soft calf suede lining, practical inside pockets, detachable shoulder straps - which make it very versatile. THE EARRINGS

Last but not least, my earrings from the Pink Piglet Collection, a simple small gold chic hoop. Find out more and shop here
