Flu Busting Shots
Makes approx 10 shots, this is based on my ice cube tray (30 ml per cube)
INGREDIENTS:
Juice of 2 large oranges (approx. 200ml)
Juice of 2 lemons (approx. 100ml)
3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
3-inch piece of fresh turmeric, peeled
Twist of black pepper
METHOD:
IF USING JUICER: Just pass all the ingredients through the juicer.
IF USING A BLENDER:
Add water (approx. 100ml) as this will help it blend. Then strain through a sieve.
FOR SERVING: Pop 2 cubes from the freezer into a glass and fill with warm water
FOR STORING: Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 24 hours (though best when fresh). You can freeze the shots in ice cube trays.
LEFTOVER PULP: You can compost any leftover pulp or freeze into an ice cube tray and add to future smoothies.
