For as long as I can remember, every November my mum would make a plum pudding, long enough before Christmas to allow the flavors to strengthen (though you can start it a week before Christmas and still have outstanding results). The Christmas smells would waft through the house, and myself and my brother Jim would start a chorus of carols. Happy plum pudding memories.
