Gambas Pil Pil

I remember the first time that I ever had prawns pil pil, it was in the market in Barcelona. I sat at the counter of one of the tapas bars, and watched how they fired up the plump fresh prawns with fiery chilies, aromatic garlic and smokey paprika. They were out of this world… They served them with very thinly sliced sourdough toasts that were brushed with olive oil – so I could scoop the prawns pil pil onto the toasts to create the perfect bite, heaven! It is one of the easiest and fastest suppers that I know.

BBQ Steak With Flavoured Butters

On a glorious summer’s evening there’s nothing better than gettingan aged steak on the barbecue and cooking in the garden with the sun shinning on your face. It’s so easy, fast and cooked right it can be so delicious! I love to serve my steaks with flavoured butters that I can also pop on my baked potato. Two of my favourites are Chilli, Coriander & Lime,and Tarragon & Horseradish. They both take about five minutes to prepare and they can be prepared a day or two ahead.
